Partners and Alliances

4 Kids has built productive and lasting partnerships with many other organizations; those collaborations help us fulfill our mission.
Woodland Hills School District is a close partner in our Early Reading First program; we coordinate our programs and curricula to ensure a smooth transition for children at kindergarten entry.
Allegheny Intermediate Unit #3 is the coordinator for Head Start and the lead agency for our PreK Counts program.
Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh and the UCLID Center at the University of Pittsburgh provide the research team that evaluates our effectiveness and measures the progress of 4 Kids children. Children's Hospital also provides health services, helping to enhance the health of our children and their families.
Our Community Advisory Board, made up of local residents and community leaders, guides our work and helps maintain our close connection to our communities.
NAEYC and PAEYC, the National and Pennsylvania Associations for the Education of Young Children, provide mentoring and training support to our staff.
UPMC Health System provides services and support.
Propel Charter Schools is a close partner in offering high-quality after-school programming for their students.
Duquesne University provides expert guidance, professional development, and mentoring for our early language and literacy component.
Matilda Theiss Child Development Program (Western Psychiatric Institute of UPMC Presbyterian) helps 4 Kids improve families’ access to evaluations and therapeutic services, to better support children’s social/emotional and behavioral development.
